The QIAamp One-For-All Nucleic Acid Kit can be used for a wide range of sample types, including, for example, cells (see figure "Reliable purification of EBV DNA") and whole blood (see figure "Efficient purification of viral DNA").
Consistent, high yields
The kit provides consistent high yields of viral nucleic acids over a wide range of viral loads (see figure "Reliable purification of viral DNA"). Automation ensures a high degree of standardization for consistent, repeatable results (see figure "Repeatable purification of viral nucleic acids"). DNA and RNA purified using the QIAamp One-For-All Nucleic Acid Kit can be used in a range of downstream applications, including:
- PCR and quantitative real-time PCR and RT-PCR
- Infectious disease research
The QIAamp One-For-All Nucleic Acid Kit simplifies isolation of viral RNA and DNA from a wide range of sample types with a fast vacuum procedure. No phenol–chloroform extraction is required. Nucleic acids bind specifically to the QIAamp silica-gel membrane while contaminants pass through. PCR inhibitors, such as divalent cations and proteins, are completely removed in three efficient wash steps, leaving pure nucleic acids to be eluted in either water or a buffer provided with the kit.
QIAamp sample preparation technology is fully licensed.
Optimized buffers lyse samples, stabilize nucleic acids, and enhance selective nucleic acid adsorption to the QIAamp membrane. Alcohol is added and lysates loaded onto the QIAamp 96-well plate. Wash buffers are used to remove impurities. Viral nucleic acids, genomic DNA, and cellular RNA are eluted, and ready for use in amplification reactions or storage at –20ºC. Purified nucleic acids are free of proteins, nucleases, and other impurities.
The QIAamp One-For-All Nucleic Acid Kit is designed to allow automated processing of multiple sample types in the same run. Sample types include:
