Performance
To ensure highest sensitivity, the ipsogen CBFB-MYH11 A Kit has been optimized to detect ABL and CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene transcripts over a wide dynamic range (see figure "Sensitive detection of CBFB-MYH11 A and ABL standards").
Principle
The ipsogen CBFB-MYH11 A Kit is a ready-to-use kit for detection and quantification of CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene transcripts using real-time PCR. The kit is based on the amplification and detection of specific CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene transcripts, relative to ABL control gene expression in total RNA (see figures "CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene transcript" and "ABL control gene transcript", and provides high levels of specificity, sensitivity, and reproducibility. Each ipsogen CBFB-MYH11 A Kit provides 3 standard dilutions for the ABL gene and 5 standard dilutions for the CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene. Primers and probe sets are designed according to Europe Against Cancer (EAC) recommendations.
Procedure
The first step is reverse transcription of total RNA in a sample into cDNA. The second step is the amplification of cDNA by real-time PCR. Using the ipsogen CBFB-MYH11 A Kit allows detection and quantification of CBFB-MYH11 A fusion gene and ABL transcripts. Simply start the reaction using the optimized protocols described in the kit handbook.
